Pinecrest to open 4th charter school in Henderson

Pinecrest Academy of Nevada will open its fourth charter school in Henderson this fall, expanding to serve high school students for the first time.

The new campus, at the intersection of Burkholder and East Lake Mead boulevards, initially will enroll about 900 students in kindergarten through ninth grade, according to a news release. Named after the master-planned community in Henderson, Pinecrest Cadence will add a year of high school annually until it reaches the 12th grade.

The campus eventually will span more than 201,000 square feet, the release states. The elementary and middle school portion of the school is scheduled to open in August.

Pinecrest operates three charter schools in Henderson and is accepting applications for the Cadence campus at pinecrestcadence.org.
