Coroner says North Las Vegas woman was shot, stabbed

The woman found dead in her North Las Vegas apartment on Saturday night was shot and stabbed multiple times, according to the Clark County coroner’s office.

North Las Vegas police responded to the apartment of Bonnie Marie Rice, 52, about 11 p.m. Saturday after receiving a call from a family member that Rice was dead in her home at the La Serena at the Parque apartment complex.

When police arrived at the apartment on West Alexander Road near North Martin Luther King Boulevard, officers found evidence that suggests the woman was murdered, police said in a press release early Sunday morning.

The coroner’s office says that Rice’s cause of death was multiple stab and gunshot wounds and that it was a homicide.
