Man shot in head in west valley dies
A man taken to the hospital in "extremely critical condition" after being shot in the head in the west Las Vegas Valley early Thursday morning has died.
An altercation inside a residence at 7843 Nookfield Drive, near Flamingo Road and Buffalo Drive, led to one man shooting another man in the head about 2:30 a.m., police said.
The victim was transported to University Medical Center, where he later died. The suspected shooter fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. No details about the suspect have been released.
The Clark County coroner's office will identity the victim after his family has been notified.
