Woman found slain near Strip identified

The woman who was found dead on a sidewalk after a shooting near the Strip early Saturday morning was identified by the Clark County coroner’s office on Sunday.

Officers found Cassandra Rosete, 27, unknown address, on the 2600 block of Industrial Road with a gunshot wound about 5:30 a.m., Las Vegas police said.

An initial investigation from homicide detectives determined that Rosete was shot by a man who then fled the scene on foot.

No arrests were reported and the shooting remained under investigation on Sunday.
