NASHVILLE, N.C. — Police say that two men are in critical condition a day after a gunman shot them in front of a North Carolina courthouse.
A news release Wednesday from Nashville Police Chief Thomas Bashore says that Donte’a Evans was shot in the leg and hand, while Lamar Ricks was shot in the back.
Bashore says both are in critical condition at a hospital in Greenville.
Police are now offering a reward for information about who did the shooting.
Also on Wednesday, Bashore said a man who had been arrested in the shooting was released after questioning. Bashore and the sheriff didn’t immediately respond to messages seeking further comment.
Bashore says a second man is still being sought for questioning.
