Suspect in Orlando police officer shooting interrupts judge in court

ORLANDO, Fla. — A day after an expletive-laced court appearance on charges he killed his pregnant ex-girlfriend, a fugitive was more subdued but still interrupted a judge when he went before her on five new charges filed against him in the death of Orlando police officer.

Markeith Loyd interrupted Judge Jeanette Bigney several times Friday to ask her to state her name. But the judge kept talking and set no bond for him.

During an initial hearing Thursday on charges related to his ex-girlfriend’s death, Loyd went on a profanity-laced rant that ended when he said “f—-you” to the judge.

Lt. Debra Clayton was gunned down Jan. 9 while attempting to capture Loyd. Loyd’s former girlfriend, Sade Dixon, was fatally shot at her home last month.
