Officials: Father of missing children known to be violent with police
Two Elko children are missing and an Amber Alert has been issued.
Lillyanna Ramires, 9, and Martin Angel Rosales, 3, were in the care of the Division of Child and Family Services, when they were taken by the parents against court orders, according to officials.
Their parents, Martin Cisneras Rosales, 34, and Amber Schenck, 29, were last seen driving a 1980s to 1990s dark blue Mustang, possibly with Nebraska plates or temporary tags.
Schenck is 5 feet, 9 inches with sandy hair and blue eyes.
The children could be in “danger of serious physical harm or death,” Elko police said in a statement.
Martin Cisneras Rosales has an active warrant and has been known to become violent when dealing with police officers.
A July 26 restraining order bars him from contact from his son.
At last report, police said they might be headed for Mexico, although there were reports they were spotted in Sacramento.
Anyone who spots the suspects, suspect vehicle or children is urged to call police immediately.
