Volunteers sought for golf open
The Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is seeking 950 volunteers for the event Sept. 25 to Oct. 2 at TPC Summerlin.
Volunteer duties may include using laser equipment to record distances, providing security for PGA professionals, and keeping and displaying player scores.
A $50 fee includes a uniform and all meals during the volunteer shift.

The Centennial Hills Active Adult Center plans to show "The Lincoln Lawyer" at 10 a.m. Sept. 12.

Health and wellness awareness fair and luncheon scheduled

GOLF TOURNAMENT TO PRESENT
LUNCHEON FOR WOMEN
The Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open plans to host its third annual Women's Day event, the Kick Off Your Heels Luncheon, presented by Lulu B. Wines, Sept. 27 at The Hill, the tournament's tented hospitality venue overlooking the 16th, 17th and 18th holes of TPC Summerlin, 1700 Village Center Circle.
News 3 anchor Kim Wagner will emcee the event, which is set to feature a silent auction and a speech from keynote speaker Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman.
Lunch will be served by Buca di Beppo, with wines by Lulu B. Wines and dessert by Retro Bakery.
Tickets are $125, or reserve a table of 10 for $1,000. VIP tables are available for $1,500 and include weekend tickets to The Hill for the tournament, which is scheduled for Sept. 25-Oct. 2.

Jamboree to focus on genealogy
The Sandstone Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints plans to host its ninth annual Family History Jamboree open house Sept. 24 at a church at 221 S. Lorenzi St.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., a keynote speech is planned at
