Slackline world record set 400 feet above Las Vegas Strip

Andy Lewis, a slackliner from Moab, Utah, walked 360 feet on a one-inch wide line 480 feet above the Las Vegas Strip on Wednesday. The walk broke world record for longest distance walked on a slackline in an urban environment.

Despite the buzzing drones, constant planes taking off at McCarran International Airport and light wind, Lewis was able to make it across the line without falling on his third attempt. Lewis walked across a slackline at the 2012 Superbowl. He hopes that this world record will draw more attention to the young sport.
