Toddler injured after falling out of SUV, then struck by another vehicle

A toddler is in serious condition after he fell out of a car and was hit by another Sunday night.

Las Vegas police said the 2-year-old boy was improperly restrained in the SUV he was traveling in and fell out about 6 p.m. near Russell Road near Palm Street.

The boy then ran across Russell Road and was hit by a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country minivan, according to police. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. As of Monday afternoon, no charges had been filed against either driver.
