Name recognition is important to any political candidate, and pronunciation can be important too.

Chris Giunchigliani made that the theme of her first campaign video, saying it's "easy" to pronounce her name: "june-kil-e-on-e."

In addition, her campaign website has a "pronouncing Giunchigliani" feature where she notes that her name is an uncommon Italian moniker that even Italians struggle with.

Winning quarterbacks go to Disney World after the Super Bowl. Football bettor Mark Graham stayed in Las Vegas for four extra days to go to a Clark County School Board meeting.

The tourist from Davis, Calif., stowed his luggage with the receptionist at the Edward A. Greer Education Center because he was catching a flight home later on Thursday.

After sitting through about 3½ hours of the meeting, Graham finally got his chance to speak about his campaign called "25 Teachers," which is based on the idea that the salaries of 25 teachers in California are roughly equivalent to the cost of a bomb.

The School Board listened to his request for a resolution asking for a reduction in military spending in favor of public education but said nothing.

Graham was happy with his Las Vegas trip anyway. His team won the Super Bowl.

Because the graph was so grim in its outlook, School Board President Carolyn Edwards quipped, "This would look a lot better to you then."
