LETTER: United States can’t solve global warming on its own

The United States is not going to save the world from climate change until China and India quit burning coal for cheap, affordable electricity. And there is no point in shutting down our economy to prove a point.

Measures for now are found in both air and water quality, which have gradually improved in the United States, while other countries lag.
