Thanks for shining light on lawmakers with government jobs

I want to thank your editorial page staff and columnist Victor Joecks for shedding light on the corrupt practice of serving in the Legislature while receiving a taxpayer-funded public employee paycheck. I especially want to commend the Nevada Policy Research Institute for persevering with their lawsuit to put an end to this travesty.

In the current spirit of removing unpleasant aspects of our history, why are we wasting time protesting and tearing down inanimate objects that can’t do us any harm? If we really want to do something constructive, we should cancel every legislative vote made by these corrupt legislators for the past 20 years.

To the extent they made the deciding vote, those laws and policies should be wiped off the books. Think of the tax dollars we would save.
