UNLV’s million-dollar football payday was an embarrassment

As I write this, it’s the second quarter of the UNLV-Ohio State football game. The score is already 37-0, Ohio State. This is not how you run a football program.

UNLV is demoralizing kids for money. So the school gets $1 million. So what? Look what you are doing to a team that has been struggling for years. You put them in a bigger hole.

Let’s face it: UNLV is not a Division I school. Let’s get these kids into a division in which they can win some games rather than putting them in a week-after-week demolishing situation.

I hope this new athletic director can see the light and put this program in the right situation. I feel for these kids.
