Literary Las Vegas: Linda P. Young

Anna and Andy, the hummingbirds that inspired Linda P. Young’s “The Adventures of Anna and Andy Hummingbird,” grew up amid the mulberry trees in the author’s Centennial Hills-area backyard. While some of the feathered adventures in the book are based on true events, others were hatched from Young’s imagination. She said her book, written to amuse her grandchildren, is “about the fun hummingbirds seem to have.” Born in Iowa City, the author moved to Las Vegas 20 years ago. In addition to writing, she owns a sign business. For more information, visit theadventuresofannaandandy
