Henderson Libraries is proposing a tax increase to help with budget shortfalls

In an effort to keep all its facilities open and to continue offering its services to the community, Henderson Libraries is proposing a 2-cent tax rate increase to help counteract a 30 percent budget decrease. If the proposal doesn’t pass in the Nov. 6 election, Henderson Libraries will be forced to close the Lydia Malcolm Library, 2960 Sunridge Heights Parkway, and the Galleria Library, 1300 W. Sunset Road in the Galleria at Sunset mall, along with other cuts.

Things to do in Centennial June 5-11

Event highlights this week include a Fishing Day Derby at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs and the launch of a Metal Month celebration with free rock concerts in June in the Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station.
