Mountain’s Edge ranked country’s third fastest-selling master plan

Mountain’s Edge is now the third fastest-selling master plan in the country. The southwest Las Vegas community moved up from fifth last year on the national list based on homes sold during the January-to-June period this year. A midyear report of master-planned communities’ home sales was compiled and released by RCLCO, one of the leading U.S. real estate advisory companies. Mountain’s Edge sold almost 600 homes through June.

Developed by Focus Property Group, the 3,500-acre Mountain’s Edge also achieved another milestone, having recently surpassed the 10,000 mark in home sales. Upon build-out, the southwest Las Vegas master plan will be home to about 12,500 units in more than 60 single- and multifamily subdivisions.

The 1,200-acre Providence master plan, also by Focus Property Group, moved up on the national list to No. 5 from No. 6 with 461 home sales. Designed in the spirit of small town America traditions, Providence is in northwest Las Vegas.

Mountain’s Edge and Providence have been Nevada’s fastest-selling master-planned communities since they began selling homes in 2004 and 2006, respectively.

“We’re extremely proud that we continue to draw a wide range of buyers including families, singles and baby boomers, who have all decided that Mountain’s Edge is an ideal place to live,” said Jason Thompson, community development manager of Focus Property Group. “These new residents have made Mountain’s Edge top three nationally and first in Nevada in sales, and have supported the vision that we’ve created with our development team and homebuilding partners.”

Mountain’s Edge is anchored by the 80-acre Exploration Park with its signature 2,846-foot-tall Exploration Peak with hiking and biking trails. Home choices are accessible to key employment centers, transportation arterials and Las Vegas Strip offerings. The community’s homebuilders feature dozens of floor plans. The master plan also has other outdoor and recreational amenities with walking trails, paseos and the new Nathaniel Jones Park. In addition, construction has begun on the first phase of the Mountain’s Edge Regional Park.

“The Mountain’s Edge Information Center remains a hub of information for home shoppers to quickly find a home in the perfect price range and size they want,” Thompson said. “We look forward to sharing this great community with anyone looking for a home in the Las Vegas Valley.”
