51s waste Rafael Montero’s pitching effort in 1-0 loss

The 51s found out firsthand on Saturday why 19-year-old Julio Urias is the top pitching prospect in baseball.
But for as good as the Oklahoma City Dodgers’ prospect was, 51s starter Rafael Montero matched him inning for inning.
Both starters went six innings. Urias gave up three hits. Montero gave up two, not allowing his first hit until the fifth inning.
The only run came on a Jack Murphy home run off Jeff Walters in the eighth inning as the 51s fell 1-0 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
The 51s had opportunities to score in the final three innings after Urias left the game, but finished 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position.
Las Vegas had two runners on to begin the seventh but Johnny Monell couldn’t get down a bunt and the next two batters struck out.
In the eighth, Roger Bernadina doubled to begin the inning but was stranded at second, and in the ninth, the 51s had two on with one out.
