The Las Vegas 51s manufactured a run with two outs in the 10th inning to beat the Salt Lake Bees 4-3 on Tuesday in the opener of a Pacific Coast League series at Salt Lake City.

Matt Reynolds walked with two outs and scored on the next play when Bees third baseman Kaleb Cowart committed a throwing error after an infield single by Alex Castellanos.

Chase Bradford shut down Salt Lake in the bottom of the 10th for his seventh save.

Las Vegas (41-31) erased a 2-0 deficit by scoring three runs in the fifth, all with two outs. Wilfredo Tovar hit a two-run single and T.J. Rivera had an RBI single.

Salt Lake (28-44) tied it in the bottom of the inning when Cowart scored on a double by Gary Brown.

51s left-hander Steven Matz, a top Mets prospect, struck out eight, but allowed three runs, two earned, on five hits over five innings in a no-decision. The Las Vegas bullpen provided five innings of shutout relief.

Tovar, Rivera and Travis Taijeron each had two hits for the 51s. The series continues at 6:05 p.m. today.
