Penn State gets edge against Maryland, interim coach

As coach at New Mexico, Mike Locksley went broke, but he was money for those betting against him. Bettors could be getting a gift this week with Locksley stepping in as Maryland's interim coach.

With the Lobos, Locksley went 2-26 straight up and 9-19 against the spread. He was fired after four games in 2011.

Penn State is a 6½-point favorite over Maryland on Saturday, and the Terrapins failed to cover their past three as home 'dogs.

But there is a downside to the Nittany Lions, as James Franklin is 0-6 ATS on the road as their coach. Still, Penn State gets the technical edge in this Big Ten matchup.
