Dominant MMA fighter forfeits bout rather than winning, injuring opponent

Well this isn’t something you see every day during an MMA fight.

MMA fighter Mike Pantangco forfeited mid-fight against his opponent Jeremy Raser, even when he was dominating the fight, and allowed Raser the victory.

Following the fight, Pantangco explained why he tapped out early and let Raser win the bout.

“I just feel that there’s no point in fighting him because he didn’t train against me and I didn’t train for him and I just feel like we’re amateur fighters,” Pantangco told AXS TV. “We don’t get money. We don’t get paid. And I know that the only thing that’d happen is him to go to the hospital or get hurt. I just feel terrible so I’m just going to give him the win.”
