Sports Betting Spotlight: Tennessee Titans season preview
September 3, 2016 - 2:51 pm
The Review-Journal’s Matt Youmans, Las Vegas handicapper Kelly Stewart and Golden Nugget sports book director Tony Miller preview the Titans’ season in the 23rd of a series of 32 NFL team videos:
- What is expected of quarterback Marcus Mariota? In 12 games as a rookie, he passed for 19 touchdowns but was sacked 38 times.
- To help Mariota, the Titans retooled their running attack by adding power backs DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry, a second-round draft pick from Alabama. Murray led the league in rushing with 1,845 yards for Dallas in 2014.
- Tennessee’s first three games (Minnesota, at Detroit, Oakland) are winnable and should set the tone for the season.
- Will the Titans, 3-13 last season, improve significantly with stronger leadership from coach Mike Mularkey and defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau?
- Over or Under 5½ regular-season wins?
