DirecTV customers won’t pay extra for Golden Knights games

Updated September 9, 2017 - 6:17 pm

DirecTV customers in Southern Nevada got some good news, as the company announced that AT&T SportsNet will not require paying extra to receive Golden Knights games.

The channel is part of the provider’s regular package and can be found on DirecTV’s Channel 684. AT&T SportsNet is the official carrier for Golden Knights games, and Saturday’s announcement comes on the heels of its deal to have AT&T SportsNet on CenturyLink’s Prism TV system in Southern Nevada on Channels 760 (standard definition) and 1760 (high definition).

The channel also will be available to U-Verse customers on Channels 757 (SD) and 1757 (HD).

“We are extremely proud to have AT&T SportsNet as our local television rights holder and thrilled to have the first distribution deals finalized,” Golden Knights president Kerry Bubolz said in a statement. “There is a great deal of excitement for Vegas Golden Knights hockey in Las Vegas and throughout our broadcast territory. As more of these distribution agreements are completed, we know the excitement will continue to grow.”

Four of the team’s preseason games, beginning Sept. 17 in Vancouver, will be televised on AT&T SportsNet. The other games are Sept. 26 vs. Los Angeles, Sept. 28 vs. Colorado and Oct. 1 vs. San Jose.
