Hall leads BYU past Oregon State in Las Vegas Bowl

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Max Hall threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns in the only bowl game he knows, leading No. 15 BYU past No. 16 Oregon State 44-20 in the Las Vegas Bowl on Tuesday night.

Hall gave the Cougars (11-2) their third win in five straight bowl appearances in Sin City, ending a streak of five consecutive bowl wins for the Beavers.

Hall threw touchdown passes to Luke Ashworth, Dennis Pitta and Manase Tonga.

Oregon State (8-5) appeared troubled by cold, windy weather and the lingering sting of missing the Rose Bowl. Sean Canfield completed only four passes in the first half as the Beavers struggled to sustain drives.

The normally dangerous Rodgers brothers fumbled once each for Oregon State, and the first led to BYU's go-ahead touchdown.
