Houston Rockets delete tweet showing emoji horse being shot
The Houston Rockets beat the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday 103-94, eliminating the Mavericks in the first round playoff series, but it was a tweet sent shortly before the end of the game that has everyone talking.
The Rockets’ tweet showed a horse emoji next to a gun emoji and said, “Shhhhh. Just close your eyes. It will all be over soon.”
The tweet caused an immediate uproar and was retweeted thousands of times before it was deleted.
The Mavericks responded with this:
“@HoustonRockets Not very classy but we still wish you guys the best of luck in the next round.”
The Rockets later tweeted an apology.
