TUF 26 competitors on what it means to have a women’s flyweight division — VIDEO

During UFC 216 fight week, four of the women from The Ultimate Fighter season 26 met with media to discuss their experiences on the promotion’s televised reality series. Roxanne Modafferi, Shana Dobson, Emily Whitmire and Maia Stevenson talked about what it meant to compete in the 16-women tournament for the chance to become the UFC’s first female flyweight champion.

The women also discuss the importance of the UFC opening up a new division for women.

Additionally Modafferi, a Las Vegas-based fighter, gave her thoughts on Justin Gaethje and Eddie Alvarez coaching, and explained how it compared to being on season 18 when Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate coached.
