Las Vegas Fantasy Football Convention canceled

Bad news, Fantasy Football fans.
The National Fantasy Football Convention in Las Vegas has been canceled due to the NFL’s policy concerning company personnel’s involvement with activities sponsored or held by casinos.
Over 100 players were expected to attend the July 10-12 event at the Venetian, connecting the fans with the players themselves, but players could have been fined or suspended for such participation, ESPN reports.
The event would’ve been held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, where there’s no on-site gambling.
Here’s who was on the list: Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, Antonio Brown, DeMarco Murray, Jason Witten, Julio Jones and Rob Gronkowski.
Players would’ve received more than a combined $1 million in marketing or appearance fees, ESPN said.
Refunds will be provided to those who registered this year, but no one can mend Tony Romo’s disappointment.
Next year’s NFFC will be held in Los Angeles.
