Three guys with Las Vegas ties say ‘Cheese’ in Washington

This is a picture of three guys with Las Vegas ties who are now being paid tidy sums of cash by the Washington Nationals.

The guy on the left is Bryce Harper. You’ve probably heard of him.

The guy in the middle is Erick Fedde, the Nats’ first-round draft pick, No. 18 overall, this year. You may have heard of him, too, especially if you went out to Wilson Stadium on a Friday night this season. Fedde was the UNLV baseball team’s best pitcher, until he got hurt.

The guy on the right is Matt Williams, the Washington manager. Williams played college baseball for the Rebels before he played professional baseball for the San Francisco Giants and a couple of other teams toward the end of his career. So you’ve probably heard of him, too. He sure looks fit in that photo for an older guy.

Earlier this season, the guy on the left had a disagreement with the guy on the right about not running out a ground ball. The guy on the left was benched by the guy on the right, and a lot of people wrote stories about it, and blogged about it on the Internet.

The guy on the left and the guy on the right play baseball the same way, or did, at least most of the time. That is, with a lot of fire in the belly. It has been reported the guy on the left and the guy on the right are now on the same page.

Anyway, it was pretty cool to see the guy on the left and the guy on the right pose with the guy in the middle for this photo. Because it’s always cool to see three guys with Las Vegas ties have a lot of success.
