UNLV leaves the comfort of Rebel Park for its first scrimmage of football training camp. The Rebels head to Nellis Air Force Base, and for security reasons, today’s 11 a.m. scrimmage is not open to the public.
New UNLV football coach Tony Sanchez couldn’t speak with junior college center Will Kreitler. Neither could offensive coordinator Barney Cotton or offensive line coach John Garrison. Jerry Rice Jr., son of NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, tweeted Friday he will transfer to UNLV.
