Times and TV announced for UNLV basketball schedule

UNLV’s basketball schedule became much clearer Thursday when the Mountain West announced its dates, times and TV information for almost all its games.

The Rebels will play 12 conference games this season on either CBS Sports Network or one of the ESPN networks that includes its online stream, the league announced in releasing its mostly finalized schedule.

Announcements also were made for nonconference games against Oregon and Kansas. The Dec. 17 game against the Ducks in Portland, Oregon, will be at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. UNLV faces Kansas at 6 p.m. on Dec. 22 at the Thomas &Mack Center on CBS Sports Network.

The Rebels’ other marquee nonconference game, Dec. 10 against Duke at T-Mobile Arena, previously was announced to be played at 2:15 p.m. on ESPN.

The dates of three Mountain West games were changed. UNLV’s game at New Mexico was moved up a day to Jan. 10. It will be at 8 p.m. PST on ESPNU or at 6 p.m. on ESPN3, the network’s online platform.

Both games against San Diego State also were switched. The first one, which is at home, was moved up a day to Jan. 17 and will be at 8 p.m. if it’s on ESPNU or at a time to be announced if it’s on ESPN3. UNLV’s game at San Diego State was moved back a day to Feb. 19 and will be at 1 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
