UNLV basketball defeats CTG Knights, 106-85, in Bahamas

NASSAU, Bahamas — Kris Clyburn scored 10 of his team-high 21 points in the third quarter as UNLV pulled away to defeat the CTG Knights 106-85 in a basketball exhibition game Tuesday at Sir Kendal Isaacs Gym.

Christian Jones posted his second double-double in a row with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Three other Rebels scored in double figures — Jalen Poyser with 17, Tyrell Green 14 and Uche Ofoegbu 12.

UNLV, which lost its first game of the Summer of Thunder tour 80-79 to Toronto, finishes its stay when it plays the Providence (Bahamas) Storm at 2 p.m. Thursday.

The Rebels led 56-45 at halftime over CTG of the Bahamas Basketball Federation before opening the third quarter with a 14-3 run.

Eugene Bain led the Knights with 42 points.
