UNLV’s Vaughn denies report that he’s entering NBA Draft

UNLV guard Rashad Vaughn denied Friday on Twitter a Yahoo report that says he will forego his final three seasons of eligibility to enter the NBA Draft.

“False information,” he posted. “Haven’t decided yet.”

Adrian Wojnarowski cited sources close to Vaughn in reporting the Findlay Prep product had decided to turn pro. He also said sophomore forward Chris Wood is considering following Vaughn’s lead and declaring for the draft.

Vaughn, who averaged 17.8 points per game in a freshman season cut short by a knee injury, is projected as the No. 40 overall pick at NBADraft.net.

He is seen as a potential second-round pick by most scouting services.
