Wolves hold off Gators

Mike Schulte was 4-for-4 with an RBI to help Basic's baseball team edge visiting Green Valley 8-7 Tuesday.

Jacob Barr was 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs and Darren Parke went 3-for-3 for Basic, which survived Green Valley's three-run, seventh-inning rally.

Jordan Van Hoosier had a home run and two runs, and Matt Harrison doubled twice for Green Valley.

Centennial 3, Shadow Ridge 0 -- At Shadow Ridge, Nate Rink went 3-for-4 with a double and a home run and picked up the save as the Bulldogs beat the Mustangs.

Rink finished with two RBIs and two runs and combined with Dylan Giesler on a four-hitter.

Bishop Gorman 9, Spring Valley 2 -- At Hadland Park, John Rickard hit two doubles and drove in four runs to help the Gaels beat the Grizzlies.

Joey Rickard was 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI, and Paul Sewald and Stephen Manthei each had two hits.

Donn Roach went the distance, allowing four hits and one earned run, to get the win. He struck out seven.

Silverado 11, Tech 0 -- At Silverado, Nick Underwood threw a no-hitter as the Skyhawks claimed the five-inning win.

Underwood struck out eight and walked four.

Trevor Kirk was 4-for-4 with a double, a home run and four RBIs for Silverado.

Arbor View 7, Palo Verde 0 -- At Arbor View, Josh Arnold tossed a three-hitter and went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI to lead the Aggies past the Panthers.

Greg Gloria, Chad Cole and Dave McClure each added two hits and an RBI for Arbor View.

Coronado 11, Foothill 7 -- At Coronado, Tim Arthur was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs to help the Cougars beat the Falcons.

Andrew Gans was 2-for-4 with two runs, Ryan McIntyre was 3-for-5 with a double and a run, and Josh Bryan hit a two-run homer for Coronado.

Jake Ferdinand had two hits for Foothill.

Liberty 5, Del Sol 4 -- At Del Sol, Travis Fryman went 4-for-4 with a double, and Mike Reveles' RBI double in the top of the fifth drove home the go-ahead run as the Patriots came back to beat the Dragons.

Liberty scored four times in the fifth inning to erase a 4-1 deficit.

Matt Burge was 2-for-3 with two runs, and Brian Madrid and Tyler Giunta each doubled for Del Sol.

Legacy 14, Mojave 2 -- At Legacy, Chase Skinner was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to help the Longhorns rout the Rattlers.

Joey Lauria was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Legacy.

Cimarron-Memorial 10, Cheyenne 3 -- At Cheyenne, Aaron Hernandez went 2-for-4 with two doubles and drove in two runs as the Spartans stormed past the Desert Shields.

Kaz Smith finished 2-for-4 with two doubles and added two RBIs for Cimarron. Jorge Paula had a double and an RBI for Cheyenne.

Calvary Chapel 11, Boulder City 10 -- At Boulder City, Dominic Pangallo went 4-for-6 with a double and four RBIs as the Lions beat the Eagles in nine innings.

Calvary Chapel scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning.

Boulder City responded with two runs, but the rally came up short.

Faith Lutheran 12-16, Virgin Valley 5-3 -- At Mesquite, the Crusaders did most of their damage late in both games to gain the sweep.

Faith Lutheran scored eight runs in the top of the seventh to break a 4-4 tie in the first game. Tyler Iodence struck out 10 in seven innings, and Terry Unruh was 3-for-3 with two RBIs for the Crusaders.

Zach Horlacher finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Bulldogs.

In the second game, the Crusaders scored eight in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie. Faith Lutheran added five runs in the seventh.

Unruh was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, two doubles and a triple for the Crusaders.

Iodence went 3-for-4 with a double.

Mountain View 14, The Meadows 7 -- At Mountain View, Brandon Carr went 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs to lead the Saints over the Mustangs.

Craig Sacra was 2-for-2 with four runs for Mountain View.

Henderson International 23, Agassi Prep 4 -- At Henderson International, the Wolverines scored 15 runs in the first inning and routed the Stars.

Jon Dapper went 2-for-2 and had a three-run double in the first inning, and Mike Rubinstein was 2-for-3 and had a two-run double in the first.

E.J. Rudy supplied a three-run double in the second for Henderson.

Alonzo Burke hit a two-run homer for Agassi Prep.
