5-year-old Utah boy killed after falling off tractor

HENEFER, Utah — Officials say a 5-year-old boy has died after he fell from a moving tractor in Summit County and was caught in its machinery.

Summit County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ron Bridge says the boy was riding with a family member on the tractor about a mile from his home Saturday morning.

Bridge says the boy fell off the tractor and was stuck between a tire and the tractor frame.

Emergency responders pronounced the boy dead at the scene.

The Deseret News reports authorities did not issue any citations to those involved.

The family’s church bishop Kent Nichols identified the boy as Brayden Townley.
