A restaurant offers a discount to customers who put away their phones

A restaurant in New York is giving its customers a tip for staying off of their phones.

Lebro’s Restaurant, in Getzville, NY, near Buffalo, recently launched a promotion discounting bills by 10 percent when families disconnect during their meals.

The offer is good on any Sunday, according to the restaurant.

“We guarantee our apps taste way better than the apps on your phone,” the eatery posted to its Facebook page. “If your family can keep their phones away from the table, they’ll win the ?[Lebro’s Challenge] and get 10 percent off their bill every Sunday!”

Customers appeared to be respond favorably to the “Disconnect to reconnect” campaign.

“Making a difference one ravioli at a time,” one poster wrote on the Facebook page.

“Kudos to Lebro’s,” wrote another. “Great idea!”
