Cain accuser has a history of employment shakedowns
Or, at least that's how Herman Cain supporters might characterize it. Those who think Cain's guilty of sexual harassment would put it another way.
I don't think the "truth" of the harassment matter is as important now (because we'll probably never really know the truth) as the truth about how poorly Cain and his campaign have handled the allegations. It leads me to believe that the Cain campaign is not ready for prime time, so to speak, and that Cain himself may have character issues that would preclude him from being a good president.
Listen, if he handles this kind of crisis like this, how's he going to handle the daily crisis that is being president of the United States.
But anyway, to keep you posted on the latest he said/she said developments in the Cain allegations, here's an Associated Press story that make the newest Cain accuser look very bad. Apparently, she has a history of employment skakedowns.
My column last Sunday, however, remains the salient point. Cain and his campaign have totally mishandled this "story."
