Chapman Dodge Chrysler raises funds for autism

Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram has partnered with Pole Position Raceway and Families for Effective Autism Treatment to support children with autism and their families. The efforts kicked off with a fundraising event held on Autism Awareness Day, April 2, at the high performance indoor kart track.

Throughout April, Pole Position is offering $20 rides for autistic children and their families, with $10 of each purchase going to FEAT. In addition, Chapman Dodge will provide $250 toward the purchase of a new vehicle to customers who mention the word “autism” in April.

“We’re fortunate to support organizations like FEAT that do so much for citizens in our community,” said Don Hamrick, general manager of Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. “Pole Position has been a partner of ours for a long time and joining together for a fun event for these children and their families is something we really value.”

Pole Position has two Las Vegas locations, one in Summerlin and another just west of the Strip. Families can arrange a special time to visit the track and race during off-peak hours to ensure safety on the racetrack.

“This partnership is special to us because it allows us to get involved and provide families with autistic children the opportunity to enjoy a fun outing,” said Brad Mark, chief operating officer of Pole Position Raceway. “I truly don’t know who is happier — the kids as they race on these karts or our staff as we see the smiles on the kids’ faces.”

“We are so thankful for the support of local organizations that join in on our efforts,” said Jennifer Strobel, executive director of FEAT. “Their gestures make a difference in the lives of these children and the fun they have racing on the track is priceless.”
