Desert BMW of Henderson’s 5 Series big on performance

The new sixth-generation BMW 5 Series has it all -- power, style and performance. And Desert BMW of Henderson, 261 Auto Mall Drive in the Valley Automall, curently has several 2011 models to choose from.

The BMW 535i sedan has multicontour front seats and automatic highbeams, plus ergonomic styling and parking assistance with ultrasonic side sensors. There is also BMW's consolidated information, entertainment iDrive system featuring a 10.25-inch, high-resolution dash display; intuitive controls and four direct-entry buttons for accessing radio, CD, telephone and navigational features. The iDrive's 12 gigabyte integrated hard disk allows for importing music from CDs, MP3 players or USB sticks.

"Styling looks edgy and dynamic, kind of a smaller 7 Series with extra attitude," a recent Road and Track magazine article said about the new 5 Series. "It ought to delight the BMW faithful and pull a few more into the fold as well."
The 535i comes equipped with a 3.0 liter, 6-cylinder twin-power turbo engine that produces 300 horsepower. It gets 30 mpg on the highway and goes from 0 to 60 mph within 5.7 seconds, according to the manufacturer.
