Determined tortoise embarks on slow endless chase — VIDEO

The National Geographic video starts with Paul Rose, an expedition leader, tracking down an odd sound he hears on Assumption Island.

Little does Rose know that what he’s hearing is the mating of two giant tortoises. By the time he realizes it, he’s interrupted them.

Talk about a mood kill.

The angry male tortoise decides to punish the intruder. The giant tortoise aggressively comes at the cameraman, ready to bite off a chunk of whatever he can get his beak on.

Except he’s too slow. Like, really slow. The determined turtle refuses to give up, but the chase is on as Rose casually walking backward.

It goes on for what seems like an eternity. It ends with Rose eventually running away. Or, just kinda walking away.
