Cafe Zupas

7521 W. Lake Mead Blvd. at North Buffalo Drive, 702-763-6550

A steamy bowl of homemade soup is the perfect meal during these short winter days or long winter nights. All soups are served with bread and a chocolate-dipped strawberry. They include tomato basil with orzo pasta, chicken enchilada chili, New England clam chowder, wild mushroom bisque, Thai lobster curry, Tuscan white bean and vegetable, and shrimp and sausage gumbo. Among the sandwiches are Italian club, turkey cranberry (sprouts, cucumbers Muenster cheese), vegetarian and barbecue pulled pork with red cabbage slaw, sweet barbecue sauce and honey mustard. Several grilled panini sandwiches are pesto chicken, crab avocado melt, turkey spinach artichoke and honey bacon club. Popular salads are chicken chop, Thai mango chicken, red raspberry spinach, asiago chicken Caesar and Vermont maple blueberry with romaine, blueberries, apples, cinnamon almonds, blue cheese and maple vinaigrette dressing. Create your own salad by selecting a green, a dressing and a protein (chicken, bacon, guacamole, tofu, eggs) to go along with vegetables, nuts, cheese, fruit or toppings (shredded coconut, tortilla chips). Featured desserts are cakes, brownies and chocolate fondue. Soups begin at $3.99, and sandwiches start at $4.99. Cafe Zupas is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
