Dining Pick of the Week: Cook on Wok

All the delicious Chinese dishes that we have become familiar with are being prepared here in the high-heat cooking woks that fill the kitchen. Specials include spicy noodles, moo shu pork, Hong Kong-style noodles, pineapple chicken, chicken lettuce cups, sweet and sour fish and Happy Family Meal with shrimp, chicken and beef. Other popular dishes are Mandarin chicken, Mongolian beef, lemon shrimp, moo goo gai pan, Szechwan beef, pork chop suey, walnut shrimp, Buddha’s Delight, spicy eggplant, curry chicken, pepper steak and ma po tofu. There are soups (hot and sour, chicken tofu, chicken and corn), lo mein noodles (chicken, beef, pork, vegetable, shrimp), egg foo yong, fried rice, chow fun (wide rice noodles) and appetizers such as barbecue sliced pork, pot stickers and fried shrimp. Lunch specials ($4.95 to $6.25) are served daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include soup, a vegetable egg roll or salad, rice and hot tea. The kid’s meal is $3.25 and features teriyaki, orange or sweet and sour chicken with cream cheese won tons, crispy noodles, steamed rice and a fortune cookie. Specials begin at $7.50. Cook on Wok is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. — Jack Bulavsky
