Football season is underway, and Chicago Bears fans are welcome at Double Yoke, where chef Ignazio Sessa, who is from Chicago, has created a menu to match his favorite team. Start with those terrific Chicago dogs: Vienna beef hot dogs served with onions, a pickle spear, green relish, tomato, sport peppers, mustard and celery salt on soft poppy seed rolls. Don’t ask for ketchup! Other sandwiches, served with fresh-cut seasoned fries, are Mama’s Meatball, Italian sausage, Maxwell Street (Chicago-style Polish sausages), chicken mushroom, BLT on white toast, Cajun chicken, Italian beef and half-pound all-beef hamburgers. Dinner entrees, served from 4 to 9 p.m., include chicken piccata, baked lasagna, shrimp broccoli linguini, eggplant or chicken parmigiana and Pasta D’Alcamo, where lobster, shrimp, tomatoes and garlic are sauteed in cognac cream over penne pasta. Popular breakfasts are Double’s Benedicts (veggie, lobster, pork chop), Double’s Omelets, oatmeal with brown sugar, country ham and eggs, and French toast. There are soups (minestrone, chili), salads (Caesar, shrimp and lobster, grilled chicken), 16-inch pizzas and desserts, including spumoni gelato and tiramisu. Breakfast starts at $5.89 and sandwiches at $8.49. Double Yoke is open from 8 a.m. to midnight daily.
