Dining pick of the week: La Bella’s Pizzeria
PICK OF THE WEEK:
LA BELLA'S PIZZERIA
6530 N. Buffalo Drive, 432-0888
Andria and Patrick Arsen, native Nevadans, prepare their pizzas, sandwiches and pasta dishes with love. Now you know why the restaurant is named La Bella. Among the hand-tossed, New York-style brick oven pizzas are BBQ chicken, veggie, margarita, Meat Lovers and the Grand Slam with mushrooms, green peppers, onions, sausage, pepperoni, ham and black olives. Popular sandwiches are Philly cheese steak, meatball marinara, sausage and peppers, and a series of cold sandwiches named after your favorite city: New York, Chicago, Detroit, Boston and The Jersey with roast beef and provolone on garlic bread. Featured entrees are eggplant parmigiana, chicken Marsala, veal saltimbocca, chicken or veal piccata and shrimp scampi. Other pasta dishes include cheese ravioli, baked ziti, linguini marinara, chicken and broccoli Alfredo, baked stuffed shells, chicken al forno (hot cherry peppers, mushrooms, white wine) and LaBella's shrimp with sun-dried tomato sauce and basil. There are hamburgers, wings and fingers, salads, calzones, strombolis and desserts including homemade cannoli and tiramisu. Daily lunch specials, served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., include a soft drink. Pizzas begin at $9.99 and pasta dishes at $7.99. La Bella's is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. -- Jack Bulavsky
