Dining Pick of the Week: Lumberjacks

Lumberjacks is family-friendly, serves large portions and has a menu bursting with good home cooking. What more can you ask for? Breakfast is served throughout the day with four-egg omelets (tostada beef, chili cheese, vegetarian) banana nut French toast, skillets, eggs Benedict, chicken fried steak with eggs, breakfast quesadilla (three eggs in flour tortilla with green chili, diced bacon, country potatoes, green onion, cheddar cheese) and breakfast club featuring eggs, ham, cheddar, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. Dinner entrees include pot roast, sauteed liver and onions, roast turkey with cornbread stuffing, 12-ounce rib-eye steak and Lumberjacks prime rib (house specialty) served Friday and Saturday after 4 p.m. Among the sandwiches are pesto chicken, big burgers with fries, fruit, potato salad, coleslaw or cottage cheese, patty melt, veggie burger, tuna melt on grilled sourdough, veggie melt, BLT, French dip, open-faced hot roast beef or turkey with mashed potatoes and tri-tip on French roll. There are soups, salads (apple Fuji, Oriental chicken, taco, Black & Bleu steak) and spinach tortilla wraps such as Mediterranean chicken, California and crispy chicken. For those 55 or older, there are senior breakfasts, dinners and sandwiches. Omelets begin at $8.49. Lumberjacks is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
