Dining Pick of the Week: Manhattan Fish Grill

Manhattan Fish Grill

4115 S. Grand Canyon Drive at West Flamingo Road; 702-802-2993

Resolutions have been made for 2014, and many revolve around the promise to start eating more healthily. Start here with grilled fish sandwiches, fish tacos and fish plates. Plates can be ordered with mahi mahi, Loch Duart salmon, ahi tuna, catfish, orange roughy, tilapia and cod. Choose a seasoning for the fish (Cajun, tomato basil, mango salsa, lemon oregano, garlic butter) and choice of side, including quinoa, mixed fruit, kale salad, mixed vegetables, rice pilaf, brown rice, and sweet potato or traditional french fries. Several salads are Caesar, Baja and Asian with carrots, green onions, edamame, tangerines, mushrooms, water chestnuts, noodles, sesame seeds and light Asian sesame dressing. All salads come with choice of grilled chicken or shrimp, crab cakes, salmon, ahi tuna, mahi mahi or tilapia. There are soft fish or chicken tacos and grilled fish or chicken sandwiches on wheat bun or kaiser roll. Featured appetizers are crispy shrimp, Manhattan or New England clam chowder and chopped ahi tuna in spicy soy sauce dressing with crispy noodles. Two desserts are New York cheesecake and vegan brownie. Fish plates begin at $10, and appetizers start at $4. Manhattan Fish Grill is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
