7591 W. Washington Ave. at North Buffalo Drive; 702-233-6272
Chef Marc Sgrizzi wants you to relax in his New York City-style deli where you can spend time in the European wine lounge, shop in the retail store or enjoy an authentic Italian meal. Lunch is served until 4 p.m. and features cold sandwiches on crusty, artisan bread such as Picnic Ham and Provolone, roasted turkey, Parma mortadella with Provolone from Bologna, Italy, and Campania, where fresh mozzarella is layered with fire-roasted peppers, pesto, basil, sliced tomatoes and balsamic dressing. Among the hot sandwiches are Italian beef, homemade hot or sweet sausage, chicken Parmesan and homemade meatball with Sunday sauce. Several salads are antipasto, chopped, Caesar and Parma with fresh arugula, roasted mushrooms, olives, artichoke hearts, roasted walnuts, Parmesan and tomatoes with light balsamic dressing. Entrees include gnocchi, chicken Marsala, linguine clams, shrimp fra diavolo, sausage and spinach ravioli, sea scallops with cuttlefish polenta, veal saltimbocca and frutti di mare (seafood with red sauce over linguine). Pair the traditional pasta fagiola soup with meat lasagna, spinach and cheese manicotti or spaghetti Bolognese. Popular desserts are lemon ricotta, canoli and rum or Kahlua cake. Ask about the Chalkboard Special. Sandwiches start at $6.25. Parma by Chef Marc is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
