Dining Pick of the Week: Strip-n-Dip

Strip-n-Dip

873 S. Rainbow Blvd. at West Charleston Boulevard; 702-823-2835

Owner Matthew Boghos takes pride in using fresh, non-frozen chicken breasts that are cut by hand in preparing his baked, fried or grilled chicken strips. “We’re a casual restaurant where customers can eat healthy or indulge in comfort food or perhaps have a little bit of both,” he said. The six-strip meal has six chicken strips, one side, three sauces and garlic bread. There are also four-strip and two-strip meals that can be ordered grilled with an Asian marinade or honey glaze, baked with rotisserie seasonings or fried with a light panko breading. Each order comes with choice of homemade sauces: barbecue, wasabi cream, teriyaki, Buffalo, BFG, cheese, honey mustard and sweet chili. Among the sides are baked mac and cheese with mozzarella crust, french fries and grilled veggies. Several extras are chicken nachos with beans, cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream and green onion, Hot Chick (fried chicken strips with tomatoes, onions, lettuce and Hot Chick Sauce) and garlic bread with homemade garlic spread. There is Thai tea, Thai coffee and funnel cakes with chocolate or strawberry topping. The two-strip meal starts at $4.29. Strip-n-Dip is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
