PICK OF THE WEEK:
TASTY CHINA
4444 W. Craig Road at Decatur Boulevard, 702-868-3339
The reason this restaurant is so tasty (and busy) is because the many authentic, traditional and new fusion Chinese dishes are made with quality meats, fresh vegetables and seafood tossed in 100 percent pure vegetable oil. Chef's specials include crispy duck, steamed fish with ginger and scallion sauce, honey walnut prawns, Kung Pao triple (shrimp, chicken, beef) and Emperor's Three Treasures with shrimp, scallops and fish stir-fried with vegetables. Noodle entrees are New York-style chow mein, pad Thai, chow fun, Singapore curry rice noodles and Hong Kong pan-fried noodles. Other entrees are shrimp in hot garlic sauce, lemon fish, orange beef, pork chop suey, Hunan chicken, General Tso's chicken, pork with mushrooms, hot braised shrimp, Mongolian beef and moo shu chicken. Among the soups are vegetarian, hot and sour, chicken or barbecue pork noodle soup, egg corn and seafood tofu. There is fried rice, teriyaki and curry bowls and appetizers such as vegetarian egg rolls, pot stickers, pepper calamari, barbecue sliced pork and chicken or shrimp lettuce wraps. Ask about the family dinners. Specials begin at $9.95 and noodle dishes at $6.95. Tasty China is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 9:30 p.m. Sunday. - Jack Bulavsky
