Dunhill opens water park

A Dunhill Homes' popular summer attraction opens today. The Fun Zone Water Park at Rhodes Ranch is one of the largest water parks in Las Vegas and offers dozens of activities for the whole family. The Fun Zone is among many luxury amenities available to residents of this master-planned community in the southwest valley.

"By far the most popular amenity at Rhodes Ranch during the summer is the Fun Zone Water Park," said Ryan Soucie, director of sales for Dunhill Homes. "It is located at the community's 35,000-square-foot recreation center, where there are hundreds of fitness and social opportunities available year-round. The Fun Zone has a 13,000-square-foot lagoon pool with wading areas, a 10,000-square-foot water park with three speed slides, five kid slides, rope bridges, multiple squirt-gun stations and an oversized bucket that fills and tips over every five minutes."

The Fun Zone also includes a 25-meter lap pool, two eight-person spas, a 12-person spa, four large covered cabanas, one exterior-lighted basketball court, two sand volleyball courts, four lighted tennis courts and a children's playground with activity structures.

In addition to the Fun Zone Water Park, Rhodes Ranch offers many amenities to enjoy summer in style. At the R-Club recreation center, residents can socialize, study, work and meet in a comfortable central location with multiple seating areas, a baby grand piano and large television viewing area.

"The R-Club offers regular card games, fitness classes and even a billiards room with six tables and options for ping pong," said Soucie.

Fitness-minded residents enjoy the R-Club's indoor workout facility with weights and cardiovascular equipment, a full-length indoor basketball court and two racquetball/handball courts. They can also participate in a variety of group classes including Pilates, yoga, kickboxing, total-body conditioning and circuit training in the group exercise room.

"And residents of all ages can take advantage of the R-Club's swim lessons, tennis classes and basketball classes this summer," said Soucie.

The community also offers residents a championship golf course and miles of walking trails.

"There is no better place to spend the summer than at Rhodes Ranch," said DeAnna Saycich, sales associate. "And with great deals available on our newly opened models, you can move into your new home in time to enjoy summer in style."

Dunhill Homes recently opened 12 brand-new floor plans at Rhodes Ranch with nine fully decorated model homes. Three series offer single-family homes from 1,532 to 3,649 square feet with prices starting at $184,990.

Every home at Rhodes Ranch includes standard features normally shown as upgrades in new-home communities. Gourmet cooking islands, granite countertops, beech wood cabinetry, Whirlpool appliances and Moen chrome faucets are all standard features. Most also include Dunhill Homes' oversized garages and signature valet, a place residents can sit and take off their shoes, store mail, hang keys, hang coats and store items they need when they arrive or depart their homes.

"We also made energy efficiency a priority in our new homes," said Soucie. All of the homes at Rhodes Ranch are certified by both Energy Star and NV Energy's Energy Plus programs. These certifications require specific efficiency measures, such as air-duct sealing, controlling air flow in and out of the home, maximizing the efficiency of air conditioning units and properly insulating walls.

"This includes elements like energy-efficient insulation, radiant barrier roof sheathing, water-saving plumbing fixtures, energy-efficient gas water heater and furnace, a digital programmable thermostat and dual-pane low-e argon gas vinyl windows," he said.

The Monterey Series has proven popular at Rhodes Ranch, with four plans between 1,532 and 2,229 square feet. The two-story homes include as many as four bedrooms, three baths and two-car garages.

"Plan 1996 includes three or four bedrooms, 2½ baths, a master suite with separate his and hers walk-in closets, a walk-in closet in one secondary bedroom, second-floor laundry room and two-car garage with bonus storage area," said Saycich.

This home can also be built with three bedrooms and an upstairs game room, and optional fireplace and optional media niche.

"We keep providing value for years to come at Rhodes Ranch," said Saycich. "In addition to incredible savings on your energy bills, you will live in a community that includes no LIDs or SIDs (improvement district fees). "This will save you thousands over the years you own your home."
