Faithful Chapman customer wins contest

Donna Barbee, regional vice president for Griswold Real Estate Management, received a promotional letter from the Chapman Chrysler Jeep dealership in the Valley Automall inviting her to stop in to see if she was the lucky winner of a $30,000 promotion.

The direct-mail contest was sent out to local Chapman customers and was based on a matching number system in which customers were asked to stop into the dealership to see if they had the winning numbers.

"I normally don't participate in these types of giveaways, but I was talking to my husband and thought, why not? We were in the neighborhood," said Donna Barbee. "Obviously, I'm so glad we did because my numbers matched the ones at the dealership and I ended up winning $30,000."

But instead of taking the cash, Barbee chose to apply it to the purchase of a new 2011 Chrysler 300C. The previous owner of a 2003 Chrysler 300M, she was enticed by the latest technology features and sleek design of the new model and she couldn't pass up driving one home.

"I loved driving my old 300 but the new 300 is just beautiful and more powerful," Barbee added. "I especially love the Bluetooth feature!"

Car and Driver magazine describes the 2011 Chrysler 300C as "refined, polished and more sophisticated."

It includes a completely redesigned interior and comes with the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 and, thanks to its revised exhaust system, now has more output: 363 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque. A Garmin-sourced navigation system is integrated into the 300's 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment interface that includes real-time traffic and other live information. The 300C has all-wheel drive and standard 19-inch wheels.
